Movies & Real Life - so I'm watching the Birdcage on cable a few nights back, and laughing of course, cause its a funny movie, and then one of the best scenes is Gene Hackman [playing the conservative senator/father of the bride] finds out his Moral Majority cohort has died... while in bed.... with an African American hooker!

Oops...

Flash forward two days....

Jerry Falwell dies at 73.....

why was my first [admittedly sick & funny] thought... where's the African American Hooker!?!

I often wonder what makes me think that way....?

Other random thoughts...
Why is it that everyone's concerned about a 4yr old British kid disappearing from what may be the worst parents on earth.... but yet we can't devote the same anger/angst/concern/reward/govt response
on something like Darfur?

BTW, if they find that kid alive & well, which I hope they do, [I aint a complete ogre!] it comes with the caveat.... "Yeah, ummm, Mr & Mrs Stupid, you no longer have custody, Society has ruled you were STUPID to leave a 4yr old alone and two 2yr olds alone in a hotel room!!!
