I sooo should be in bed right now...
Ah, Thanksgiving with the family. I hope & pray everyone had as fun and fulfilling day as I had today.
Started Wed night, by staying up until 3:30AM. Why? Because I was late night channel surfing various Cable Movies [Esp. Goodfellas on HBO]. Now ordinarily on a weeknight, I know when to say when and just click TV Off and GO to bed, But, Mom needed to be awakened every 45 minutes or so to check on the Turkey. So I stayed awake, and nudged mom outof her chair when it was "time to check the bird".
I then carted the bird out of roaring hot oven and into the fridge when it was declared "DONE" at 3:30AM.
Fast forward a few hours later, I got up, went to the Interboro v Ridley HS Football Game. YAY Interboro wins 7-6 on a blocked Extra Point with 5 min left in the 4th quarter and a great defensive stop of the Hated Green Raiders when they got a first and goal on the 9 and couldn't pass it into the endzone.
Go home to thaw out, we had sixteen here for dinner, seemed like it would overwhelm the house, but it worked out excellently. And then a new family first tradition got started...the post-dinner Poker Game! Yay for penny poker!
LOL! Anyways, it was a blessed day and night, and now I must sleep, so I can actually go to work in like 5hrs.

We have the traditional post-Thanksgiving dinner nap while watching Tombstone (although that's usually just my brother and cousins, I end up helping to clean...) and then game of Trivial Pursuit. God bless Thanksgiving traditions!
