1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Owned Phillies Season tickets! I picked a GREAT YEAR!!
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions and will you make more for next year? No
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Yes-Sister had a son about a month ago, Nephew #2 Samuel
4. Did anyone close to you die? No
5. What countries did you visit? None
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? More free time, this working shit's for the birds
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? October 29/31 - Phillies won the world series and the parade. Each of the three playoff games I got to go to actually.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Paid off some debts, acquired some new ones [new car - 2009 Escape!]
9. What was your biggest failure? Not being able to pay off ALL my debts
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? No
11. What was the best thing you bought? My car
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My kid sister having a baby, way to make me feel old. I'm proud of my immediate family actually, was a pretty 'no stress' year.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Every trip into the office triggers those feelings
14. Where did most of your money go? Home, commuting, and associated bills
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Road trips/vacations!
16. What song will always remind you of 2008? Wow,hmm, I'd probably pick a commercial jingle - that hippie chick Apple song!
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or Sadder? Probably about the same
b) Thinner or Fatter? probably a shade fatter
c) Richer or Poorer? Broke even, slightly better if only for the debts paid off
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?Travel
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Working
20. How did you spend Christmas? Driving around Eastern PA with my folks, visiting all the nieces/nephews!
21. Did you fall in love in 2008? I added an infatuation or two, does that count?
22. What was your favorite TV program? Sunday Football
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No
24. What was the best book you read? Why We Suck by Dr. Denis Leary
25. What was your greatest musical discovery? No idea
26. What did you want and get? a new car
27. What did you want and not get? gf/wife, a million bucks, a dream house on top of a mountain, with a moat and gun emplacements to keep away peeps I dont need
28. What was your favorite film of this year? DARK KNIGHT... RIP Heath Ledger!
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 38. Sadly not much, wow, I'm officially so old, I cant recall... it was nothing elaborate I assure you.
30.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Not having to work
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008? Polo shirts and jeans [life] or slacks [work]. I'm dull.
32. What kept you sane? I ask this most every day, honestly, my friendships and family keep me sane
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Fancy as in "lust" over? Or just thought, hey thats a person I'd want to meet?
34. What political issue stirred you the most? The endlessness of it
35. Who did you miss? Some long distance friends I didnt get to see this year - Adrianne, Ted D & Carrie, Frankie, Kara, I know I'm missing others...
36. Who was the best new person you met? My new "Wing"nut friends - Jess, Heather, Mom, Gail, Tom H, Rocco & Jackie & Co,
