Quiet days...

Today was a very good day. Slept in, got woken up at like 11AM, only because Ayana was on her way down with her Mom and sister, passing through before goin to see Jaime's baby.

This then was fun...my folks met Ayana's mom!

I've always been amazed at how cool it is to "Meet The Parents" of any of my friends, and always more so, when I get to return the favor.

We went out to brunch together at the diner. All was wonderful.

Then I chilled this afternoon and played EQ for a while, like 7 fun hours worth, which yes, I'm quite capable of doing.

Anyways, heres hoping you all had a good weekend!

Things that you see that just make you smile :)

Was channel surfing tonight before turning in an ran across the Hallmark channel.

Now I can honestly say I've never even scanned through this station before, but it will now zoom much higher into the TV station rotation when I hold the remote.

Why is that?

MASH reruns! Several hours a day/night apparently.

I was in that "I really ought to go to bed" one last surf of the channels to find ANY reason to keep my insomniac self up a little later, when presto, I caught that last 2 minute segment of the end of a MASH episode. You know it usually contains the one last gag of the night.

And I caught it, and it made me smile. I may have even chuckled.

I dont need to even tell you the episode, hopefully you've seen enough of them to know [if not go rent ANY season of MASH on DVD right now! I'll wait :P]

[good your back]

Anyways, I caught the last gag! And I went to sleep with a smile! Here's hoping you all do the same! And if you didnt, watch a MASH episode before you go to sleep!

Doctors orders.

Something offbeat and fun... :)

I've personally witnessed #7 several times:

Washington Post's Mensa Invitational asked readers to take any word from
the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter,
and supply a new definition. Here are this year's winners :

1. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you
realize it was your money to start with.

2. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright
ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

4. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose of
getting laid.

5. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the
subject financially impotent for an indefinite period.

6. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

7. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the
person who doesn't get it.

8. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.

9. Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.

10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate's disease. (This one got extra credit.)

11. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these
really bad vibes, right? And then, like,! the Earth explodes and it's
like, a serious bummer.

12. Decafalon (n.): The grueling event of getting through the day
consuming only things that are good for you.

13. Glibido: All talk and no action.

14. Dopeler effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when
they come at you rapidly.

15. Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after
you've accidentally walked through a spider web.

16. Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into
your
bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

17. Caterpallor (n.): The colour you turn after finding half a worm in
the fruit you're eating.

And the pick of the literature:

18. Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an asshole.

WELCOME - THE BAR IS NOW OPEN

OK, after many months of enjoying others' blogs, I've fallen [or been pushed] into the world of blogging.

I promise only to make it as fun as I am.
