OMG

Ok, so I titled the LAST post Musical Fun with the intent of doing this...

I got tagged... by Karen, to name Seven Songs Currently popular to me in my musical selection... so here they are :)

Nowhere to Run - Off the South Park ChefAid Soundtrack [which rocks btw] with ODB, Method Man, and OZZY Osbourne!

Layla - #__ whatever I should be up to on the Things you don't know about me countdown - I LOVE Eric Clapton - he's coming to town in October - I need to get me tickets! [You got me on my knees, Layla, I'm begging darlin please Layla...darlin wont you ease my worries....my.....]

Brining on the Heartbreak/Switch 625 - Def Leppard. Off the High'N'Dry album [yes, thats right I said ALBUM GDI!] - "Bringing" was one of the earliest "Metal Ballads" ["Beth" by Kiss to me is the all time oldie!]. But what always makes it stand out for me was the ending... it fades into this two minute guitar riff, called Switch 625. Radio stations pretty much NEVER play the add on riff! Its what makes the song, its like playing Van Halen 1 without Eruption!

Whiskey Girl - Toby Keith. I ever meet the right Whiskey Girl thats single...

Gallow's Pole - Led Zeppelin. Get the Plant/Page version they recorded in I think 1996. [Hang man, hang man, hold your hand a while, I think I see my SISter coming...riding many a mile! SISter I implore you! Take him by the hand, lead him to some shady bog, save me from the rope of this man! Please TAKE HIM, save me from the rope of this man!]

Billy Idol - I love his songs, all of them, and his attitude! [Wears my studded leather glove for the required fist to the sky salute] In the midnight hour babe, more, more, more!....

Hmm, I cant stop at seven...have to go to EIGHT!

When You Know - Shawn Colvin - when you want mellow - try Shawn out. Plus, her rendition of the Police's Every Little Thing [s]He Does is Magic is awesome!

Animals - Nickelback! This song grabs you by the shirt, knees you in the nuts, and then proceeds to stomp a mudhole in your ASS! [thats for you Karen] They play it to fire up the crowd at Wings games - in fact ANY song that fires up the crowd at Wings Games works for me! [NO! No matter where we go! Aint nothin wrong with it, we're just a pack of animals, ANIMALS!]

Sheesh, I left out a lot on my CD rotation - no Fools, No Police [though they get a nod], no Genesis, no Blue Man Group, no comedians!, no Motley, no Metallica - whats wrong with me - THIS LIST WAS TOO SHORT!

Musical Fun...

Ouch, its been nearly two weeks since my last post...

I'm sorry, I'm sorry - the short, short version of what I was up to the last two weeks...
I ate, I slept, I drank, I attended one bachelor party, one wedding reception, I worked a few days [as little as possible of course], went to one BBQ-pool party, where it rained, BUT the BBQ host had rented a SLURPEE machine! YAY! Two barrels, cherry for the kids, MARGARITA! For the adults!

And I forgot important details about my GC flight to KC. Semi-important, no, wait, scratch that, REALLY important. AS In, I've been telling people for months one set of facts only to discover their F-in wrong!

God, Senility is a bitch, and I was NOT told to expect it this early in life.

In short, I thought my flight on Wed left at 5PM. Yeah, well damn good thing I checked on Sunday night, yeah, it leaves at 11:30AM!! My flight HOME is the 5PM flight. Doesnt seem that big a deal does it? But to me its F@#$ing huge, I never screw something up by 5.5 HOURS!

DAMN!

So I've managed to rearrange my airport ride, my time off from work [guess who WON'T be working on WEDNESDAY], and now am scrambling to start getting packed...tonight!
Whew!

Tough gig

Errrr....

Ok, silly me, I finished one of the stories I started writing about like three weeks ago tonight, and stupid blogger slotted the story at the original starting date I created the post, so.... scroll down to the San Juan tale from June 24 for some fun reading :)

And a great picture!

We interrupt this broadcast....

OK, so I still have a few Alaska/PR tales to owe you all, and I will eventually get to them all, but first...whew.

Is everyone else's summer just careening on by entirely too fast?

I was pumped by kick starting my summer with Alaska, then I knew I'd do a couple of "routine" summer things - Pig Roast @ Jay's, a couple of Phillies games, a concert or two, the annual Darcy poolapalooza & BBQ drunk fest, Grand Chapter for PSP, and then fall would arrive and it would be time to arrange plasma screen time for College & Pro Football...

Whew, I had no idea that in the midst of all that, I'd add in a wedding weekend in Northern California - can't wait! First wknd of August!

Now my boss is warning me about potentially going to Chicago weekend after next - ugh, depending on how this works I may have this travel schedule:
July 22ndish - Chicago
July 27-30 - Kansas City for GC
Aug 4-6 - Northern California [couple hours north of SanFran]

And I've already been to both Alaska & Puerto Rico in June! Whew! Are my arms tired! Are my frequent flier miles racking up [yay]!

I think I better go lie down, I'm getting dizzy thinking about howmany times I'll be x-rayed!

Hope all is well with you
